Cutler could have posted better numbers, but his offensive line perfomed horribly and the Matt Forte and Dane Sanzenbacher had decent games. Neither player had an excellent game. Forte 10 receptions for 117 receiving yards. Knox limited to 2 receptions for 45 yards. Dane Sanzenbacher 3 receptions for 33 receiving yards. Earl Bennett had 1 reception for 9 yards, but left the game injured.
Lance Briggs did well as the weak side linebacker posting 11 tackles, 10 solo tackles, and 1 assisted tackles.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees went 26/37 with 270 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, and no interceptions.
New Orleans offensive line played very well pass blocking, run blocking, and zone blocking. Chicago Bears left end Isreal Idonije had 6 total tackles, 3 solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles, and 1 sack.
Charles Tilman got abused in coverage. Despite this he managed to force a fumble for the Saints. The Chicago Bears two best players on defense Julius Peppers and Brian Urlacher struggled.
Peppers had 1 solo tackle and no sacks the entire game. Saints left tackle Jermon Bushrod kept Julius Peppers in check. Brian Urlacher had 3 total tackles, 2 solo tackles, and 1 assited tackle.
The one player who stepped up for the New Orleans Saints defense was strong safety Roman Harper. Harper had 7 solo tackles, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble.
