New York Giants Wednesday Injury Report: Justin Tuck Leads List of No Shows
The New York Giants were finally starting to get healthy last week, but a host of injuries in the Cardinals game has left multiple players on the injury report for Wednesday’s practice.
Justin Tuck, Prince Amukamara, David Baas, Michael Boley, Corey Webster and Brandon Jacobs all did not practice this morning.
According to the Giants beat writing crew, Webster missed due to personal reasons and should be fine. Justin Tuck insisted on his Twitter account Monday that he was “doing everything” to get back on the field this Sunday.
Baas suffered a “burner” (still not 100 percent on what that really means) to his neck and aggravated that on Sunday against the Cardinals. In his absence Kevin Boothe missed a block on what could have been a huge play, it resulted in a fumble and set up a touchdown for Beanie Wells. Thankfully Eli Manning had a comeback in him.
Jacobs injured his knee against the Cardinals, which could be the reason he was so ineffective. Boley has a knee injury as well, but insisted it is “just a little swelling. It wasn’t anything major, I should be back tomorrow.”
Rocky Bernard had to leave Sunday’s game as well with a rib injury, but it’s not expected to be serious and he was limited in practice today.
