Eagles RB LeSean McCoy Fires Drew Rosenhaus–Only to Rehire Him One Day Later
How many times have we heard a story in the sports world where a player fired their agent–only to rehire them one day later? As for Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and his agent Drew Rosenhaus–that was exactly the case.
According to Jeff McClane of Philly.com, McCoy fired Rosenhaus earlier this week–only to re-hire him again the following day. McClane claims Rosenhaus met with his client for dinner at Chickie & Pete’s on Wednesday before McCoy filed termination papers with the player’s union immediately after the meal–but Rosenhaus stuck around an extra day to win him back.
Whatever Rosenhaus did–it worked.
Considering he’s arguably the best agent in sports and always finds a way to get his clients some impressive deals–it should be no surprise Rosenhaus found a way to win McCoy back. After the type of numbers he’s displayed over his first three seasons, McCoy could be in line for a new deal from the Eagles soon and probably realized Rosenhaus would get him the best deal.
