Eagles Dominate Cowboys: Where Has This Team Been?

By Frank Benditt III

Wow!!  What a game the Philadelphia Eagles laid on the rival Dallas Cowboys.  The Eagles trounced the Cowboys 34-7 in front of a national audience Sunday night.  It was by far the Eagles best performance of the year.

I had an inkling the Birds would win the game.  That was the only thing I got right.  I thought coach Andy Reid would fling the ball all over the field, afraid of the Cowboys staunch run defense.  Well, Andy Reid went heavy on LeSean McCoy and it paid off tenfold.  I have been saying it since pre-season:  McCoy is a stud.

LeSean McCoy had 30 carries for 185 yards.  No one could touch McCoy, especially in his strong cut back attack.  Wow!  Gotta love when the Birds are dedicated to the run!

Michael Vick has an astounding game.  Vick made it look to easy.  He completed 21 of 28 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns.  Vick also amassed 50 yards on seven carries.  Just an outstanding game.

The Eagles defense was amazing.  Is this the same defense that played in the first six weeks of the season?  Who knows?  Dallas had no answer for Philly’s dynamic scheme, which had Nnamdi Asomugha all over the field.  Great game plan.

I must say………..Jason Peters is a BEAST!!!  He is playing like the best left tacke in the game.  I am afraid of Peters just watching him on T.V.

Where will the Eagles go from here?  Who knows?  All I know is I am now, officially, having fun again being an Eagles fan!!!
