Jacksonville Jaguars Send Matt Roth To Injured Reserve

The Jacksonville Jaguars 2011 season has been plagued by injuries.

On Monday, the Jaguars placed two more players on the injured reserve list bringing their season total to 31 players who have had their season end early due to injury.

Defensive end Matt Roth (concussion) and cornerback Ashton Youboty (hamstring) are the latest to fall victory to the injury bug.

Roth started at defensive end for most of the season, but has not played since he suffered a concussion over a month ago when the Jaguars played the Cleveland Browns. Roth had 24 tackles and 3.5 sacks in the nine games he played in this season.

Youboty was signed by the Jaguars after they placed starting cornerbacks Rashean Mathis and Derek Cox on the injured reserve list. He played in six games for the Jaguars and had one interception and a fumble returned for a touchdown.

The Jaguars promoted offensive tackle Daniel Baldridge off of their practice squad to fill one of the vacated spots on their active roster.
