Fred Taylor Thinks Jeff Fisher Should Be Next Jacksonville Jaguars Coach

By Joey Farbo

Jacksonville Jaguars fans and players grew to despise former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher, but at least one prominent former Jaguars player would not mind seeing Fisher in black and teal next season.

Former Jaguars running back Fred Taylor told the media this week that he thinks Fisher would be a good fit for the Jaguars organization.

“His track record speaks for itself,” Taylor said.

Fisher was the coach for the Titans for the past 16 seasons where he accumulated a 144-120 record and took the Titans to the playoffs six times. Fisher, however, never won a Super Bowl with the Titans.

The Jaguars have a chance to create a lot of positive buzz this offseason under the guidance of new owner Shahid Khan. Khan has a great appetite to win and he certainly has the money to pay for a big name coach.

Still, Khan and the Jaguars front office have been quiet so far as to which coaching candidates they plan to interview over the next few weeks.

Like Taylor, the Jaguars fans are clamoring for a big name. Regardless of who he hires, Khan will expect to see some immediate results. So will the fans.
