Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will have one less thing to worry about going into this offseason. The civil lawsuit against the eight-year veteran quarterback was settled between Roethlisberger’s lawyers and the woman who accused Roethlisberger of raping her in 2008 at a Lake Tahoe hotel/casino.
According to the Associated Press, the woman’s lawyer, Cal Dunlap, stated that there was a settlement, but didn’t go into detail.
“The matter has been resolved and I have no further comment,” said Dunlap.
No criminal complaint was ever filed by the woman due to the fact that she though that she would be terminated from her job. Roethlisberger has denied all allegations.
