Ravens promote Dean Pees to defensive coordinator, OC Cameron to return
Ravens Coach John Harbaugh had his first press conference since his team’s crushing defeat in the AFC Championship Game. Harbaugh announced that linebackers coach Dean Pees would assume the role of defensive coordinator in place of Chuck Pagano, the newly minted head coach of the Colts. Pees joined the Ravens staff following the 2009 season. He served as defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots from 2006-2009. Pees has big shoes to fill. The Baltimore defense has been one of the league’s most dominant units over the past 11 years.
John Harbaugh also ended speculation surrounding offensive coordinator Cam Camero who will be returning for his fifth season in Baltimore. Cameron has been the subject of fan unrest for years. The team is expected to add a quarterbacks coach to the offensive staff this off-season.
