The New York Giants and New England Patriots are ready for Super Bowl

The week has arrived, it will be Super Bowl week as we hit Monday.  The Super Bowl is a week away, next Sunday at 6:30PM.  The Giants and Patriots will be making their way to Indianapolis shortly.  The New York Giants will be leaving on Monday and the Patriots arrived on Sunday night.  The two teams know each other pretty well for being in different conferences.  They met in the Super Bowl four years ago and also earlier this season when the Giants won.  The Giants won on November 6th by the score of 24-20.  The Giants in Super Bowl 42 were heavy underdogs to a team that was looking to go a perfect 19-0.  The Giants won the game by the score of 17-14 and that was one of the best if not the best Super Bowl ever.  Tom Brady is seeking revenge and his four title together with Bill Belichik.  It should be a fun week leading up to the big game.

The interesting thing for the Giants is in their last two playoff wins they were seeking revenge and now it may be the other way around.  The Giants wanted to play the Packers and 49ers again after they lost to both of them during the regular season.  The Giants now though are playing a team they beat in the regular season, the Patriots of course have won ten games in a row since then.  The Giants will try to replicate what they did in that game and just beat them again.  The Giants would love to win their second Super Bowl in four years at the expense of the Patriots.  The win would put Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin in elite company with a second super bowl win.

The Manning family will also be a big storyline.  Eli of course is playing like an MVP, has been all season long.  He is now playing in another Super Bowl where he can move ahead of his brother for titles and be only one behind Brady.  He will also be playing in his big brothers home stadium against his arch nemesis.  If that doesn’t call for a huge story right there I don’t know what does.

It will be interesting to see how they go at each other.  I am sure both coaching staffs have looked at a lot of film from the regular season meeting.  I don’t know how much that will matter though.  It should be an offensive game but the Giants defense is so much better now then it was in the first game.  The Patriots defense is better also but I believe especially on a fast track the Giants will be able to do damage against them.  I also believe though that the Patriots can score on anyone, the key to me is the Giants pass rush.  If the Giants can get to Brady then they will cause some problems.  The week is just beginni
