Ravens hire Jim Caldwell as QB coach

The Baltimore Ravens have hired former Colts head coach Jim Caldwell as the team’s new quarterbacks coach.  Caldwell will work closely with Joe Flacco and Tyrod Taylor.  Baltimore is no doubt hoping that some of Caldwell’s magic from working with Peyton Manning for a decade will rub off on the pair of young signal callers.  Caldwell served as Indy’s QB coach from 2002 through 2008.  He was interviewed by Baltimore for the vacant head coaching position following the 2008 season, a job that ultimately went to John Harbaugh.  Caldwell eventually replaced Tony Dungy as the Colts head coach.  He was dismissed following a disastrous 2-14 season in 2011.
