From Tebowing to Bradying
Ever since Tim Tebow became the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos and won six straight games, the world has been Tebowing. Just like every other craze that comes along, it is being replaced by a new fad, Bradying.
The website bradying.com is asking people to “Brady” which is sitting on the ground, feet facing out, head down, and looking defeated. The new fad has come from a photo of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady looking defeated while sitting on the field during the Patriots’ Super Bowl XLVI loss to the New York Giants. The website explains, “It’s all about winning. and hair. and winning hair. Upload your best Bradying photo.”
The new website already has photos up of a turkey on a grill, soldiers, pets, babies, and, of course, many New York football fans all “Bradying”. One particularly funny one is of a man “Bradying” in front of a dry-erase board which has written on it, “I can’t throw and catch the ball!” and underneath has “That’s what she said…” written referring to the comments that Gisele Bundchen, Brady’s wife, made about Patriots receivers not catching passes late in the game.
Patriots fans have had their say too as they’ve sent in photos of what they would consider “Bradying”. Most of their photos are either the three New England Patriots Super Bowl rings or of Tom Brady holding up the Lombardi Trophy following a Super Bowl victory.
Tebowing spread like wildfire and by the end of the NFL regular season, was being done all over the world. Bradying may never reach the heights that Tebowing has but it’s a start.
