Indianapolis Colts Peyton Manning Had 4 Surgeries and May Need More

Indianapolis Colts Peyton Manning has had four neck surgeries and may need at least one more.

The news out today about Manning and his surgeries couldn’t have came at a worse time.  A day after Jim Irsay made a statement that he would welcome Manning back if they could work out a deal. Well, this news doesn’t help Peyton’s case.

Sports Illustrated’s Don Banks is reporting that Manning actually had a fourth surgery sometime between May 23 and September 9 of last year.  Banks goes on to talk about how Manning may need a surgery due to bone spurs.

The surgery that went unreported took place in Chicago and was a follow up to Manning’s initial surgery. It happened during the lockout too when the Colts physicians had very little contact with Peyton.

When Mannings’s agent was asked about it he responded with “”I wouldn’t have anything to say about all of that, one way or another,”

This may be the worst news for Peyton Manning fans, as they were hoping to see him in a Colts uniform this fall. Lets be honest, with Manning possibly more injured than we realize why would the Colts take a chance on him. The injury may very well end the career of the great future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning.

This is just another setback to an already horrible off-season for Manning.
