Jeff Faine to be released by Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Stephen Holder of The Tampa Bay Times reports the Buccaneers are on the verge of releasing center Jeff Faine.
The release would save the Buccaneers $5.925 million dollars against the cap which means they can seriously chase Carl Nicks from the New Orleans Saints. Jeremy Zuttah will take over as starting center if the move is made. Given the Bucs will need a left guard if Zuttah is moved, Carl Nicks, Ben Grubbs and Eagles LG Evan Mathis would be the top three targets.
