The free agency market has cooled off considerable since it started last Tuesday, but the Jacksonville Jaguars may not be done shopping for pieces that could help this team win in the fall.
According to a report from Tania Ganguli of The Florida Times-Union, the Jaguars have expresses interest in free agent defensive end Mark Anderson.
Anderson, who had 10 sacks last season while playing for the New England Patriots, is one of the best defensive end still on the market after the spending frenzy last week. He has a total of 35.5 sacks over his first six seasons in the NFL.
Jaguars general manager Gene Smith said last week that he wanted to wait for the market to cool down before he jumped back in to pursue more free agents after signing wide receiver Laurent Robinson and quarterback Chad Henne last week. The Jaguars still have needs at wide receiver, defensive end and cornerback that need to be addressed either through free agency or next month’s NFL Draft.
