Peyton Manning Picks the Denver Broncos
It appears that the Peyton Manning Sweepstakes could finally be over.
According to ESPN, the Denver Broncos and Manning are now in negotiations that would make the former Colt and future Hall of Famer the next Denver quarterback.
John Elway previously told the media that the two sides have discussed a 5-year, $95 million contract, but there are some issues that need to be worked out for both sides.
Though Manning passed a physical for the team, there is still some concern about the lasting effects of Manning’s neck surgeries, which kept him out of the 2011-2012 season, but the Broncos believe he is more than worth the gamble.
With Peyton headed to Denver, it is expected that the popular Tim Tebow will land elsewhere, which sets a whole new storyline in motion.
