Miami Dolphins CEO joins Twitter just in time for the 2012 NFL Draft
This move coincides with the claim of Dolphin owner, Stephen Ross, who says that he wants the organization to be fully transparent and forthright with the fan base.Giving the public access to Mike Dee allows the fans to communicate directly with a decision maker, something that has never been available to Dolphin fans in the past.
Ross has been making every attempt to reach out to the disgruntled fans in South Florida, where patience with GM Jeff Ireland has run very thin and many fans are demanding that Ross make a change at the top. Ross has come to the defense of his GM, and has made efforts to reach out to the fans while asking them that they let the plan unfold.
The Dolphins hold the 8th pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and all signs are pointing at them taking Texas A&M‘s Ryan Tannehill, even if the team needs to trade up to do so. Tannehil comes into the Draft lacking in experience at the quarterback position, but would feel comfortable coming into the Dolphins organization with his old head coach, Mike Sherman now the offensive coordinator for the Fins.
The Dolphins already have two veteran quarterbacks on the roster that will be competing for the starting position, so it is safe to assume that the plan will be to have Tannehill sitting on the bench for the first few years.
With Dee now accessible via twitter, questions about the quarterback, and anything else for that matter, can be directed to the CEO. Hopefully, he is truly committed to giving some answers.
