Kansas City Chiefs gift new Nike jerseys to all season ticket holders

In an act of class and celebration, the Kansas City Chiefs have decided to give every season ticket holder a personalized Nike jersey. The move comes in celebration of the organization’s 50 years in Kansas City. Best of all, it doesn’t matter if you’re a new season ticket holder or have been one for decades. The jersey is yours. Fans even get a unique patch sewed on the right shoulder with the initials STH which stands for “Season Ticket Holder”. They also get to pick the number of their choice.

The giveaway only adds to a highly anticipated 2012 season for Chiefs faithful. Star running back Jamaal Charles is expected to return from injury and the signing of Peyton Hillis could make the team one of the top rushing tandems in the league. In addition to the backfield, corner back Stanford Routt was snatched up from divisional rival Oakland Raiders, as was tight end Kevin Boss.

After a roller coaster 2011 season, the Chiefs seem primed to keep the AFC West among the most competitive divisions. With divisional foes beating up on one another every year, the Chiefs stand to get a break by receiving the 12th easiest strength of schedule based on their opponents records last year. The team has addressed nearly every area of concern and still has the upcoming NFL draft to bolster their roster. Coach Romeo Crennel will now have a full season to get this team moving in the right direction, giving the Chiefs some much needed consistency at the top.
