By Dan Parzych

On Tuesday, the 2012 NFL schedule was released for all 32 teams. Here’s a look at the 2012 schedule for the New York Giants.

Week 1 (Wednesday September 5): Dallas Cowboys

Week 2 (Sunday September 16): Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Week 3 (Thursday September 20): @ Carolina Panthers

Week 4 (Sunday September 30): @ Philadelphia Eagles

Week 5 (Sunday October 7): Cleveland Browns

Week 6 (Sunday October 14): @ San Francisco 49ers

Week 7 (Sunday October 21): Washington Redskins

Week 8 (Sunday October 28): @ Dallas Cowboys

Week 9 (Sunday November 4): Pittsburgh Steelers

Week 10 (Sunday November 11): @ Cincinnati Bengals

Week 11 (Sunday November 18): BYE

Week 12 (Sunday November 25): Green Bay Packers

Week 13 (Monday December 3): @ Washington Redskins

Week 14 (Sunday December 9): New Orleans Saints

Week 15 (Sunday December 16): @ Atlanta Falcons

Week 16 (Sunday December 23): @ Baltimore Ravens

Week 17 (Sunday December 31): Philadelphia Eagles

When a team wins the Super Bowl, a team is faced with the difficult task of trying to repeat as champions and for the Giants–it certainly won’t be easy. Eli Manning and company already have to play in one of the toughest divisions in football with the NFC East, but their rotating schedule has them facing the AFC North in 2012–which sent three teams to the playoffs last year.

Along with those teams, the Giants also have to face four other teams from the NFC that went to the playoffs last season (49ers, Packers, Saints, and Falcons)–so New York clearly has the toughest schedule in the NFL heading into 2012.
