Starting and finishing the season against the arch-enemy Oakland Raiders should bring a great deal of excitement.  Hopefully their match-up on December 30th will be one with playoff implications.  Games versus other division foes are somewhat concentrated in the middle of the season as meetings with the Chiefs and Broncos are both separated by just three games.  What could this mean as far as the difference in meetings?  Will teams be able to figure one another out better and have better games the second time around?  Time will tell.

Other games which stick out are in the latter part of the year, as the Bolts are forced to leave sunny San Diego in December and travel to Pittsburgh on the 9th and to New York on the 23rd to battle the Jets.  The Chargers, being a warm weather team, typically don’t fair particularly well in cold weather, however seeing as how they are the hottest team in football in December, it will be interesting to see if they can maintain their winning ways this winter.

Otherwise the schedule consists of a rematch with the Ravens, intriguing match-ups with the Saints, Falcons, Bengals, and Bucanneers while the Titans, Panthers and Browns are all a bit of unknown quantities.  This schedule is exciting and will certainly test the Bolts with Norv Turn and A.J. Smith firmly on the hot seat.
