On June 2, participants from the ages of 12-17 will be able to attend a free football camp organized by Tennessee Titans Safety Michael Griffin. The participants must fill out a wavier form, which essentially just authorizes permission from the parents for the kids to attend.
The camp will cover main ideas such as the regular fundamental football skills and some drills for both on and off the football field. The camp will also help instruct great teamwork. The camp will be held at East Literature Magnet School.
Other players that will be helping Griffin include Jason McCourty, Lavelle Hawkins, Shaun Smith and rumor has it, some rookies want to get in on the action too. Registration for the camp begins on June 2 at 8:30 a.m. while the camp begins at 10 a.m. The camp will end at 2 p.m.
It’s great to see Griffin stepping it up in the community; he’s been on the team awhile and admitted to Titansonline.com that he has not organized a charity event on his own, despite all the encouragement from all of his teammates doing it on their own.
“I’ve been here for five years, and a lot of times, I’ll support other teammates’ events and charities, but never did anything on my own. Being here for five years, I just decided I’d try to do something and I had a coach ask me.”
