Tennessee Titans: LP Field will be Home to a New Videoboard System this 2012 Season
As many fans that attend sporting events already know, a videoboard is a huge addition to a stadium of any kind. The new attractions going up at LP Field will include two large videoboards, a video ribbon board and a new sound system with minor other improvements. All of this is made possible because of a $28 million renovation and all of the equipment is being installed by The Alpha Video Sports & Entertainment Group. They are the leading national video integrator for the sports venue industry.
The new renovations will also include a new video replay control room. Many new cameras will be installed and new switchboards will be brought in. This also includes new editing software and of course many generators to keep all the equipment going throughout the game.
To me this is a very exciting thing, as a videoboard operator for minor league baseball, I see first-hand that nothing gets the fans more excited to be at the venue than something that catches their eye on the videoboard. It is an excellent way to keep the attention of fans, run replays let alone advertise.
Don MacLachlan is the Titans Executive Vice President and he released this statement last week to the press about the relationship with the company and the offseason marketing that the team has been able to do with these renovations.
“Alpha Video has been great to work with during this project. We are dealing with a number of vendors in adding the enhancements this offseason and each of them are vital to making our stadium atmosphere the best that it can be. I can’t wait for our fans to experience the changes.”
The renovations are said to be done by the beginning of preseason when the Tennessee Titans battle against the Arizona Cardinals on August 23, and it will make for a much better experience at LP Field.
