Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers is used to winning accolades. Wednesday night, Rodgers added another one as he was ranked as the number one player in the NFL Top 100 by his peers. The quarterback is coming off an MVP season in which he helped the Packers to a 15-1 regular season record.
By all accounts, Rodgers can easily improve on his previous season. In fact, Rodgers slowed down near the end of the year and did not play in the last regular season game. This means that the numbers for Aaron Rodgers can be even better. That has to be a scary thought for defenses across the league. There is not one set way to stop him on offense.
Aaron Rodgers can not only carve you up by throwing the ball, but his ability to scramble to keep plays alive separates him from the rest of the field. He is able to pick up first downs with his feet, which is something the other top quarterbacks on the list are not able to do.
The Packers were upset with how last season ended up, but Aaron Rodgers and company should be able to have a much better season in 2012. They certainly will not go 15-1 in the regular season but they should improve on their one-and-done performance in the playoffs last season.
The peers of Aaron Rodgers apparently love how he plays the game. This just one of the many reasons why you can consider Rodgers one of the best players in the game today.
