Stevie Johnson of the Buffalo Bills is apparently intent on having a rap career. He teamed up with rapper Game to release a new song “Run It Back.” I am not going to lie, but Johnson should probably stick to his day job.
I thought the first bad signal about the rap career of Stevie Johnson was the fact that he read his entire song off of his phone. Most rappers have their lines memorized before stepping in the booth. Either Johnson is not up to that level just yet or he really wants to start a new trend.
This is another example of a famous athlete who tries to do one too many things. Stevie Johnson should certainly be focusing on his football career over his rap career. He could be a lot better player than he is, but he seems to lose focus. Maybe he is thinking about his music instead of catching the next pass.
Stevie Johnson could prove me wrong and become the next great rap star. Either that or he is going to flame out at this and end up hurting his football career. I do not see a lot of middle ground in this scenario.
The rap career of Stevie Johnson certainly has an interesting start. I expect that he will release more songs and people wonder exactly what is going on. I am surprised that Game is helping him out, but Game is not exactly the world’s best rapper either.
