Chad Ochocinco of the Miami Dolphins is prepping for his amazing wedding. However, that does not mean that he does not care about his fans in the lead up to it. One of his followers recently lost her husband of 30 years, so Ocho invited her to his wedding.
Chad Ochocinco gets a lot of crap from a lot of people, but this is a really nice move. Not a lot of people would do this, but he is inviting a complete stranger to his wedding. Nice job by him and his future wife to take the time to help someone else out.
I wonder if other people will pick up on this story. We seem to focus too much on the negative stories instead of the positives these days. We are too quick to tear athletes down and while we do that, we ignore the positive things that they do for their fans.
I expect that Chad Ochocinco now has a lifelong fan. This fan, who I am guessing is named Cheryl, will have an experience that she will never forget. I bet the wedding is going to be a great experience and she is going to get to meet a lot of new people. It will not replace the loss of her husband but Ocho has done a great job of trying to get out of her funk.
I may not be a fan of Ocho, but I applaud this move. Good thing to do for a fan.
