I, for one, can’t wait for the current NFL season to start. I think the Carolina Panthers will make a push for a wildcard spot in the playoffs this season. They will definitely be in competition for one of the spots with the NFC North’s Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions.(Many are predicting Green Bay to win the division). For the Panthers, a lot depends on whether the defense is actually improved from last season, which it should be with the return of many starters from injury and 1st round draft pick Luke Kuechly holding down one of the linebacker positions.
Brett Favre willing to go to battle with Cam Newton over “anybody else” was definitely news to my ears, and with all the quality quarterbacks in the NFC this year it should be a playoff race that comes down to the final week.
