Mike Wallace is one of those Wide Receivers every team should go after. He’s dynamic, in his prime, and a guy that will stretch the defense like crazy because you always need a safety over the top of him. The Chicago Bears have really improved their offense, but that doesn’t mean much to me. The Chicago Bears should trade a few 1st rounders to get Mike Wallace because that could make them an offensive force right up there with the Green Bay Packers.
Think about this, Mike Wallace and Brandon Marshall on the outside. Alshon Jeffrey splitting time with Earl Bennett in the slot. Michael Bush and Matt Forte both able to run the ball effectively, and catch the ball out of the backfield. A decent offensive line and the Bears are with out a doubt a super bowl contender as long as they stay healthy on defense and at the quarterback position.
You think Jay Cutler would love this concept? Um yes- because he can throw a ball very far and Mike Wallace can run under it.
Will this happen? I doubt it. Should it happen? Absolutely.
What do you think? If you’re a Bears fan, wouldn’t you want to go after Mike Wallace too? What’s the point of a first round pick if your picking late anyway. Seems to work just fine for teams like the New England Patriots.
Come on Mr. Emery, at least put in a couple calls. If the Pittsburgh Steelers don’t want to pay this guy, let’s let the Bears pay him instead.
