Chicago Bears’ Brian Urlacher has returned to the team after missing a week of practice. However, he was held out of practice. The team keeps signing he’s been out for personal reasons. Also, some has to do with the soreness in his knee. He’s still not fully healed after getting injured in last’s year’s season finale. The coaching staff keeps saying he’ll be fined and be back very soon. I’m not too worried and I look for Urlacher to practice soon.
However, with Urlacher not practicing, the Bears have signed Xavier Adibi and K.C. Asiodu. If I was you, I would not look at the signings as an indicator of Urlacher’s absence. I see the signings as depth in practice and preseason games. It may also be signings for competition … you can never have enough of competition.
The Bears also signed DE Aston Christian. Christian was waived by the Dallas Cowboys on Monday and was an undrafted free agent.
With the Bears adding players to their 90-man roster, players had to be let go. The Bears placed Alex Brown on the reserve/retired list whom retired on Thursday before the preseason opener. Also, the Bears waived DT Ronnie Cameron and CB Jeremy Ware.
