2012 Philadelphia Eagles Preview: Predicting the Official 53-Man Roster
This is my second attempt at projecting the 53-man roster for the Philadelphia Eagles. There’s only eight days remaining until the Eagles have to trim down their roster, so this will be my final projection before I submit my actual prediction.
The players are listed as ‘on’ if they made the team and ‘off’ if they missed the team. It’s pretty self-explanatory. Obviously I also have them ranked in order for the players on the team, as well as the players who did not make the team.

I did not have a lot of changes to my second depth chart.
I had Nick Foles as the backup quarterback, which prevents the Eagles from trading for Colt McCoy, and I have Mike Kafka as the third QB.
I have veteran Joselio Hanson losing the nickel cornerback job to rookie Brandon Boykin, which causes Hanson to be expendable. When he is cut, the Eagles will make Brandon Hughes the fifth cornerback.
I have no other changes, other than Phillip Hunt as the third defensive end instead of Vinny Curry, who drops to fifth. I also added Mike Patterson to the injured reserve list. I do not think he will play this season. In fact, I’m not sure he’ll ever again play for the Eagles, given the depth the Eagles have on the defensive line.
My overall roster count has 52 players. I think the Eagles will add their 53rd player when final roster cuts are made by grabbing someone from another team’s reject list. I’m not sure of the position the new player will be, but he could go anywhere.
