The Chicago Bears only had 6 days before today’s game against the New York Giants. The Bears’ starters played great against the Washington Redskins before the back-ups came in and almost the lost the game. If it wasn’t for Robbie Gould’s last-second 57-yard field goal and the Bears pulled off a 33-31 win against the Redskins.
The Bears Beat the Giants 20-17.
*Lawrence Tynes makes a 32-yard field goal. Bears 0 – Giants 3.
*Jay Cutler throws a 21-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Marshall. Bears 7 – Giants 3.
*Eli Manning throws a 11-yard touchdown pass to Ramses Barden. Bears 7 – Giants 10.
*Andre Brown scores a 1-yard rushing touchdown. Bears 7 – Giants 17.
*Robbie Gould makes a 30-yard field goal. Bears 10 – Giants 17.
*Robbie Gould makes a 48-yard field goal. Bears 13 – Giants 17.
*Jason Campbell throws a 12-yard touchdown pass to Joe Anderson. Bears 20 – Giants 17.
My observations from the game:
*The offensive line looked pathetic, to say the least. I can’t say enough of how bad they played.
*Jay Cutler did not look like his self… thanks to the offensive line, but still. He was always on the move and didn’t look comfortable in the backfield.
*There was no running game for the Bears … just none.
*Charles Tillman did not look like his self and got beat in numerous occasions.
*Alshon Jeffery continues to show he’ll be a big part of the offense.
Hopefully the Bears won’t show these goose eggs in the regular season and for some reason, they always play bad against the Giants.
The Bears will play the Cleveland Browns in their final preseason game on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. central.
