Madden 13 is here and New York Jets fans will be happy to see that they are among two teams that each have two players rated in the top 10 overall this season.
Center Nick Mangold and cornerback Darrelle Revis are the two Jets players in the top 10 and Revis’ 99 overall rating makes him the highest-rated player in the entire game.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the reigning NFL MVP, and Dallas Cowboys defensive end/linebacker DeMarcus Ware are the only other 99 overall players this season.
Not even Madden 13 cover boy Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions got a 99 overall rating. The man they call Megatron was the fourth-highest rated player with a 98 overall rating.
The San Francisco 49ers are the only other team with two players in the top 10. Linebacker Patrick Willis and defensive lineman Justin Smith are both rated 98 overall.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees are also rated 98 overall, as is Minnesota Vikings defense end Jared Allen.
Mangold rounds out the top 10 with a 97 overall, the highest rated 97 overall player in the game.
