The Giants are looking to fill the final spots at several positions, like cornerback, wide receiver and linebacker. There are multiple players the Giants could keep at those positions, unfortunately they have to get down to 53 players this Friday and cannot keep all of them.
Rueben Randle, Jerrel Jernigan and Ramses Barden are auditioning for the final time to determine the pecking order as the backups to Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz and Domenik Hixon.
Greg Jones and Spencer Paysinger are on the block from the linebacker position, but both could make the team due to their abilities on special teams.
With Prince Amukamara and Terrell Thomas nursing injuries, and Tyler Sash hurt and serving a four-game suspension, the Giants may need to hold on to more defensive backs than we’re accustomed to. We could see guys like Bruce Johnson, Justin Tryon and Michael Coe really step up and make their case for a roster spot.
Another player I want to watch is Adawale Ojomo, who has dominated this preseason with three sacks in three games. He could be in line for that final defensive end spot behind the starting three of Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora and Jason Pierre-Paul.
