Along with the arrival of the new NFL season comes the new addition of the Madden game. As a lot of football fans due, they run to purchase the game early, get home to update the roster, and then say goodbye to anyone not playing madden for the next week.
As the Madden franchise continues to try to get better and more realistic every year, it is always fun to see how close the players and teams are in the game to what they are in real life.
The Seattle Seahawks are rated an 80 overall in Madden 13 which is around where they should be. Last season they finished with a subpar record at 7-9 and the rating reflex a lower quality team with some uprising.
One of the most exciting players to play with on the Seahawks in running back Marshawn Lynch who is rated at an overall of 90 and is the 15 best back in the game. Lynch’s rating is a little low for how great of a player he is but his play during the game is a little crazy. He breaks a few to many tackles then he normally does but for the most part Lynch plays in Madden like he does in real life.
On the defensive side of the ball, one of the highest rated players in free safety Earl Thomas who is a 91 overall. Playing with Thomas in Madden gives the user a solid safety who rarely gets beat deep and comes up with a number of picks in a lot of the games played with Seattle. For the type of player Thomas is, Madden 13 does a great job in portraying that.
Of course in a video game everything will be a little farfetched and things will be a little unrealistic but for the most part, the creators of Madden 13 have done a great job in making the game as close as they can to real life.
