Bears vs Colts Week 1 Preview
Are you all ready for the return of Chicago Bears football? I can tell you I am pumped and happy I have nothing to do all day Sunday. I was scheduled to have a CPR class 9-4 on Sunday, but I was able to switch the class to tomorrow (Saturday). That’s how much I wanted to watch the Bears first game of the season.
Since it’s the 1st game of the week, there are new pieces to the team that we haven’t seen in action yet:
*The Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall reunion is back at full swing. Both took a few years off away from each other, but it’ll be nice to see those connections for touchdowns.
*Mike Tice is the new offensive coordinator and by that, he brings in a new playbook. How will that play out? I expect good things out of Tice as he has to make the offensive line look better than it really is. I expect more trick plays too and will be fun to watch him than Mike Martz.
*Lastly, how will Shea McClellin play as a DE. McClellin showed some signs of improvement in preseason and I think playing on the other side of Julius Peppers will help a lot. I do expect big stats out of McClellin this year.
Today is a Friday and the Bears have released their final injury report of the week:
**MLB Brian Urlacher (knee), P Adam Podlesh (hip), and S Chris Conte (shoulder) are expected to play on Sunday as they are listed as probable.
*RB Lorenzo Booker (head) is listed as questionable for Sunday.
Week 1 prediction: Bears 30 – Colts 13
I expect great things from the Bears this year and I do think they’re better this year than 2006 where they went to the Super Bowl. Bear Down!
