Keep a balanced attack- The Seahawks are very young; for the Cardinals to win they have to confuse the defense. They must play their own game, push the tempo, and make sure they don’t let the Seahawks stop thinking. The more the Seahawks have to think, the slower they will be. Larry Fitzgerald doesn’t even need a half step to be beat the defense.
Keep trying to run the ball- The Cardinals are going to have problems running the ball every single game this year. The loss of Levi Brown might be the downfall of their season and Beanie Wells is just not that good. The key is to not abandon the run. It might not be effective, but at least the Seahawks will have to prepare for it. If the Cardinals abandon the run at any point this year it’s probably because they abandoned the season.
Hold the Seahawks to field goals- Easier said than done right? If Marshawn Lynch is good to go for Seattle than it might actually be impossible, but as fans, it’s easy to dream. The Cardinals really need to adopt a bend, but don’t break defense, or every game is going to be a long game. Three field goals is easy to overcome, but three touchdowns and the game is pretty much over. Holding the Seahawks offense to field goals will give the Cardinals time to adjust and just might give John Skelton the confidence he needs to lead the Cardinals to victory.
The Cardinals season is about to begin. This could be the beginning of a beautiful season, or the start of something awful. Only time will tell.
