Aaron Hernandez Leaves Game With Ankle Injury

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE

Down 6-3 to the Arizona Cardinals, tight end Aaron Hernandez leaves the game with an ankle injury after teammate Julian Edelman fell on the back of his leg while running with the ball. Hernandez wasn’t able to put pressure on his leg thus having the trainers help walk him off the field.

With Hernandez out of the game, the New England Patriots may have to change around their offense as Hernandez was a focal point for the Pats.

His return to the game is questionable and with the way things looked do not be surprised ┬áif Hernandez is done for the day. Facing a pretty good defense in the Arizona Cardinals, expect to see more Wes Welker. He’ll likely play the role that he played last year as the number two option after Rob Gronkowski.
