Carolina Panthers have the Saints for lunch

Even with a week one loss the New Orleans Saints looked to come into Charlotte and beat up on the also winless but that was not to be.

The Panthers came out with a different outlook of the game then they had last week. Cam Newton knew that his team was much better then they played in week one.

The Panthers proved that they are a much better squad then people critics give them credit for being.  The Panthers stepped up all facets of their game.

The offense, and especially the running game came up big for the Panthers.  Both Newton and RB DeAngelo Williams had a big day rushing. The offense did pretty much whatever they chose to do with the run game and the passing game.

The defense came up big with two interceptions of Saints QB Drew Brees.  The Panthers defense stopped the run and pass. The Panthers made the Saints look terrible today.

Going forward the Panthers are going to be a force to be reckoned with.  Second year QB Cam Newton has a season under his belt and he is getting really comfortable in his offense and the players around him. He has garnered a lot of respect from his teammates which make them all a more cohesive unit.

The Panthers coaching staff has brought a new attitude to the team, and when you come into Carolina, look for a rough game and not just that easy win. I believe that those days are long gone. I look for the Panthers to make a playoff run this year. I am impressed with the Panthers as a whole.
