Denver Broncos vs. Atlanta Falcons Monday Night Football Preview

Ron Chenoy – US Presswire

The Denver Broncos and the Atlanta Falcons will face off during Monday Night Football and are both coming off hot starts in Week 1 by defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs respectively.

QB Peyton Manning and the Broncos beat the Steelers 31-19 and looked to be under control for the entire game, especially when they went to the no huddle and let Manning pretty much run the show. The high-paced offense seemed to work a lot better for the Broncos as they scored the majority of their points while not using a huddle.

QB Matt Ryan and the Falcons came out shooting and scoring early. The Falcons quickly put of 40 points on the Chiefs and never looked back as the won 40-24. These two offenses are loaded with playmakers and it should be an exciting game to watch.

Key Factor #1:

Can the Broncos slow down Ryan and his receiving duo of Roddy White and Julio Jones?

Key Factor #2:

Can the Falcons keep Manning off the field as much as possible and minimize the damage he can create with his no huddle offense?

My answer to these questions are both no. I don’t think the Broncos or the Falcons will have a great game defensively. I can see both offenses putting up 30+ points, so whoever comes up with a huge defensive play late in the game and converts the most third downs will win.

I’m giving the edge to the Broncos because they will be able to put more pressure on Ryan than the Falcons will be able to get on Manning.

Prediction: Denver 37 Atlanta 34
