Miami Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland Allegedly Involved In Incident With Fans On Sunday
Jeff Ireland is not a popular guy with Miami Dolphins fans. The GM has made a lot of curious moves and the fans are ready for a change. After Sunday, that might be happening sooner rather than later. It appears that Ireland was involved in an incident with fans that involved Ireland insulting a fan.
It is still unconfirmed, but the story goes that Ireland was arguing with a fan and Ireland ended up calling the fan a word that rhymes with bass bowl. That should be easy enough to figure out for you scholarly types out there.
This might not be a big deal in the long run, but it is another weird incident in the career of Ireland. He seems to screw up more often than not and that is not a good way to keep your job. Dolphins fans want him gone but he seems to stick around. He’s like a really bad cold that you just can’t seem to get rid of.
We will see if the public outrage from this incident will be enough to get Ireland out the door. I imagine that the fan probably deserved to be called that name, but you still can not do that as a GM. You are representing the team and you have to be above the drunken fans who go to games. If you resort to stuff like this, you are falling into something that you can not escape.
