New York Giants Rule Out Three Players For Tomorrow Night's Game

As everyone expected with such a short week, the New York Giants will be without Ahmad Bradshaw, David Diehl and Domenik Hixon when they take on the Carolina Panthers tomorrow night.

Hixon suffered a concussion on Sunday, so you had to figure it was a good chance that he wasn’t going to play. All that the Giants are saying, is that Diehl has an MCL injury and that Bradshaw has a neck injury. The cryptic nature of that sounds to me like those injuries may be more serious than they are letting on. I guess we will see what happens next week.

With the injuries, it means that Sean Locklear will start at right tackle, Andre Brown will at running back, and Ramses Barden will be the third wide receiver. You wonder how much time David Wilson will play tomorrow as well with the injury to Bradshaw. It appears that Wilson is still in the doghouse of Tom Coughlin.

On the plus side, it looks like Prince Amukamara will make his season debut and Keith Rivers will be able to play. Rivers looked impressive in week one, so it will be interesting to see if the can keep it up. The Giants need all the help that they can get in the secondary, and last year’s first round pick will be a welcome addition to a unit that has been suspect.

The Giants are a team that battled injury all season long last year and it looks like 2012 will be more of the same.
