Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos played awful in the first half against the Atlanta Falcons last Monday night, but Manning took the blame as he should have since he threw three first-quarter interceptions. The defense played well and has been a bright spot for the team so far this season. The Broncos held the high-powered Falcons offense to 27 points even after Manning’s three interceptions, which turned into 10 quick points for Atlanta.
Can Manning turn things around offensively against the very tough Houston Texans in Week 3?
You can feel safe making a bet that Manning will be doing all he can to get ready to play better this Sunday. He will undoubtedly bounce back and play much better, but will it be enough?
I think Denver’s defense will also be tested by the run game that the Texans will bring Sunday, but if the Broncos can prove that their run defense is improved and Manning gets back to playing smooth and mistake-free football, they will be in the game at the end will a great shot at winning.
I’m going to say that Manning will be great, the defense will be good enough against the run, and they will stay stout in defending the pass, which will put them on top in a very tough fight to the end.
Prediction: Broncos 30 Texans 27
