“Greg looked good today,” Head Coach Mike McCarthy said. “I’ll tell you, he made a big jump from earlier in the week. Practiced well. His examination (Sunday) morning will be the key on whether he goes or not, but I thought he looked like himself today.”
This is great news for the Packers as Jennings was not able to to practice until late in the week and even then his participation was limited. On Tuesday Jennings tried to return to practice as expected, but a setback on his groin injury made his start for Week 3 look unlikely. On Friday he was limited in practice which made the Packers officially list Jennings as questionable for Monday night.
Today, Jennings practiced liked he normally would without an injury to see if he could handle all all of his routes as one final test before the game. To everyone’s surprise, Jennings was able to go through the entire practice without any setbacks. As coach McCarthy stated, endurance was the issue for Jennings’ groin. It wasn’t able to last the full time in practice without getting aggravated. The fact that Jennings was able to last on Saturday is a very encouraging sign.
Unless there is a setback on Sunday, expect Jennings to play on Monday.
