Seahawks vs. Packers NFL Week 3 Preview

Seattle Seahawks - Marshawn Lynch

Steven Bisig-US PRESSWIRE

The Seattle Seahawks prepare for their biggest task so far this season as they take on the Green Bay Packers on the Monday night stage at CenturyLink Field.

The Seahawks will be looking for a loud audience as they try to use their home field advantage as best they can as they come up against the high powered offense of the Packers lead by quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The defense of Seattle will be in for a challenge against Green Bay’s star quarterback. The defensive line has to come out strong and become a factor immediately and not allow the offense of Green Bay to get into a rhythm.

Defensive end Chris Clemons will be a big key on the line stopping the run and applying pressure to Rodgers to force bad passes. Along with the defensive line, the secondary will have to put in a solid performance and come away with a couple takeaways to help out the offense of the Seahawks.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Seahawks have to take advantage of the opportunities given to them and score touchdowns. They cannot afford to settle for field goals because of how explosive the offense of the Packers can be.

Marshawn Lynch will be a big factor and has to repeat the performance he had last week and move the ball down the field.

As the long Lynch can continue to move the ball successfully and the offensive line can keep the pass rush of Clay Matthews out of the picture, the Seattle Seahawk should have a strong day on offense.

Seattle’s defense has to stop Green Bay from moving the ball easily down the field to allow the offense of the Seahawk to control the time of possession and play the game their way. If the Seahawks can do this they should be able to come away with another win.
