Lingerie Football League Releases Statement On NFL Ref

Brian Spurlock-US PRESSWIRE

The National Football League is having a dispute with its referees that we all know and now definitively love and miss with all of our hearts. But can you believe that the NFL is using referees that once worked Lingerie Football League games? Former chief of the officiating crew Mike Pereira dropped that in August during the Hall of Fame Game. That ref, Craig Ochoa, was fired from the LFL due to his ‘incompetence.’

The LFL issued a statement concerning Ochoa:

Because of the LFL’s perception it is that much more critical for us to hire officiating crews that are competent, not only for the credibility of our game but to keep our athletes safer. Due to several on-field incompetent officiating we chose to part ways with with a couple crews which apparently are now officiating in the NFL. We have a lot of respect for our officials but we felt the officiating was not in line with our expectations.

We have not made public comment to date because we felt it was not our place to do so. However in light of tonight’s event, we felt it was only fair that NFL fans knew the truth as to who are officiating these games.

What perfect timing for the league that prides itself on supermodels pummeling each other in bras and panties to issue a statement after the debacle that took place Monday night.

This is what the NFL has succumb to, LFL officiating. Let’s get the thinking caps on and see how to fix this situation.
