Tim Tebow, the most polarizing figure in NFL History has reportedly been put on the trade block by the New York Jets and I will talk about in the first part in why the Buffalo Bills should not acquire him.
There are numerous reasons why the bills shouldn’t bring in Tim Tebow, including the fact that our team already has three quarterbacks with not exactly the strongest arms around the league, so why should we add a fourth?
Also bringing in Tim could possibly create a controversy between him and incumbent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and at best there will be some drama in the locker room and in the fan base, at worst it rattles Ryan so much that he unravel in front of us and finish the season 2-14 after Tim becomes more popular and gets named starting quarterback. And we know teams like the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs have game planned for him and defeated him at least on one occasion.
Another reason why the Bills will not at least trade for him right now is because he’s on a division rival, and as a result the value will go up due to this reason, and we already gave up a possible 6th round draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks for quarterback Tavaris Jackson, during this year’s preseason. I estimate his going rate to be about what the Jets gave up for him, a 4th and a 6th round draft pick selection in the 2013 NFL draft, and that would be for a non-division rival to trade for him, I would only speculate that the going rate would be at least a 3rd round and a 5th round selection to be acquired within the AFC East.
Thank you again for reading, I hope you take time to either hit me up on twitter @TheProfessorSD or leave a comment on here and we can have a real discussion about this since the rumors of him being traded are growing by the day.
