The national nightmare is over. It appears that the NFL has reached an agreement with the referee union to get the real refs back on the field as soon as possible. This means the era of replacement referees, as Hawk Harrelson would say, is OVA!
As @mortreport is reporting, an agreement between NFL and NFLRA is at hand and both sides will work to have officials working this weekend.

I mean, this has to be just a giant coincidence that this happens after the Green Bay Packers had a win taken away from them due to referee incompetence. I am sure that these two items are absolutely independent of each other. That is what the league will tell you at least.
This is a great thing for the league and a great thing for the fans. We will have an end to the horrid reffing of the fake refs and get to enjoy the weird calls of the regular refs. I mean, I will still complain about reffing but having familiar faces on the sideline will be great.
Every type of ref ends up screwing up at some point. However, I trust the guys who have had years of experience over people that have barely reffed college level games. That was the big issue that the league had. It was not the replacement referees fault that they had no experience, it was the league who decided the refs were disposable. Luckily for us, we get the real refs back. Huzzah!
