Nobody predicted the Arizona Cardinals would be in the top five of the NFL Power Rankings at the beginning of week four. The Cardinals are currently 5th and for good reason. They have beat teams that currently stand at eight, nine, and ten. Three top ten victories under their belt and it’s not even 1/4 of the way through the NFL season.
The best and worst part about being in the top five is people will be gunning for you, but with it comes respect. Respect is not something that comes easily to the Cardinals, or for that matter any team in the NFC West, but the league does respect Arizona now. Because of that, the Cardinals cannot take their foot of the gas for any reason at all. Injuries cannot slow them down because they’re a team that plays together no matter who is on the field.
The Cardinals have got to keep the pressure coming at all times in all aspects of the game. They need to keep improving on defense, offense, special teams. If it were up to me Kevin Kolb would be the starter for the rest of the season. They need to take as much off field pressure off of Kolb as possible, so he continues to improve. If that happens he can prove he is the quarterback that the Cardinals traded for in the first place.
The Cardinals are the team to beat in the NFC West and around the NFL. Is the league up to the Challenge? The Cardinals are ready.
