What To Watch For: New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles

By jason evans

On Sunday night, (with real refs) the New York Giants will head down the turnpike to take on the division rival Philadelphia Eagles. These two teams always play interesting games that go back and forth, with one little thing being the difference. Here is what to watch for.

To The Vicktor: To say that the Eagles have problems along the offensive line is probably a bit of an understatement at this point. Michael Vick has taken an absolute pounding, and now they come into this game facing one of the best pass rushing defensive lines in the game today. You know that Jason Pierre-Paul, Justin Tuck and company are chomping at the bit to go and get after Vick.

Off & Running: Ahmad Bradshaw looks like he will be back and starting on Sunday. The question is, what kind of time split will he and Andre Brown have at the running back position. Tom Coughlin rewards performance, and clearly Brown has stepped up the past two games and provided punch for the running game. He needs to get at least some playing time, and Bradshaw has been better in his career splitting time with another back.

Yeah, But Can He Do It Again?: It looks like Hakeem Nicks will again sit out injured, with not only a foot injury, but swelling in the knee. Ramses Barden decimated the Carolina Panthers’ secondary last week, but the Eagles’ corners are better than Carolina’s. How he does this weekend may determine whether he’s legit or a one week wonder.
