It is going to be bad enough that the Tennessee Titans are going to have to pull out all they have this coming Sunday against the Houston Texans. But to not have a healthy team is just going to be brutal.
For the past couple of days, wide receiver Kenny Britt has not taken part in practice due to an ankle that got irritated in the second half of the game last week against the Detroit Lions, which enabled rookie wide receiver Kendall Wright to get some playing time.
There is a good possibility that Britt will sit on Sunday against the Texans. When you are playing who is arguably the best team in the NFL, then you need to make sure you have your players at one hundred percent. I also see him wanting to play though, because he is one of the best receivers that the Titans have.
Titans head coach Mike Munchak said the team must wait and see how Britt’s ankle is feeling and how much it would affect his mobility Sunday before making a decision
Another player that could worry the fans from Nashville is tight end Jared Cook, whose presence has been extremely helpful in the run game. He caught his first touchdown of the season last week, but injured his shoulder during the game. Currently he is listed as questionable for this Sunday.
The good thing is the Titans have Craig Stevens to insert into the lineup if Cook cannot play. He had a career game against the Lions. I will say it until I’m blue in the face, you have to have your best on the field when you are playing the best. And as of right now, the Houston Texans are the best.
