It’s not always easy admitting you’re wrong and today I will take a step towards acknowledging my mistake. After week 2 of the NFL season myself and many others wrote articles calling out Larry Fitzgerald’s production. My article titled “Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald will continue to struggle” focused on the team’s quarterback issues and how they would hurt Fitzgerald’s production.
So far, I have had to eat my words. In the past two games Fitzgerald has caught 17 passes for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns. If he continues on this path he will definitely surpass 1,000 yards for the 7th time in his career and 6th in consecutive seasons. I have to apologize to Fitzgerald because how wrong I was. It’s not very common to admit your mistakes, but when I make one this bad I will apologize every single time.
The Arizona Cardinals have made a habit of going against the NFL and my predictions, but I promise to give the whole Arizona Cardinals team the benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise. The WR is the youngest ever to catch 700 passes and he shows no signs of stopping. Every good receiver is going to have a game where they only catch one ball. QB Kevin Kolb and Fitzgerald seem to have found a rhythm on offense. For that matter, Kolb seems to be finding all of his receivers. He hit 8 on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins on his way to a 324 yard performance.
I don’t have 100 percent faith in Kolb yet, but Larry, I promise to never doubt you again.
