This year Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson has struggled to run the ball effectively. In the first three games Johnson had only 45 rushing yards combined. In the past Johnson has been been an elite running back that had the ability to take over games. During his struggles this season the team has also struggled.

The Titans lost week one to the New England Patriots by a score of 34-13 with Johnson contributing only 4 yards on 11 carries. The next week the team lost to the San Diego Chargers by a score of 38-10. In this game Jonson only contributed 17 yards on 8 carries. In week three the Titans were able to squeak out an overtime victory against the Detroit Lions. Even with the victory Johnson still struggled.

Finally in week four Johnson was able to get on track against the Houston Texans.

Against the Texans Johnson carried the ball 25 times for 141 yards. This total is almost 100 more yards than he had gained the entire season up to this point. Titans fans are relieved that Johnson has finally had a break out game this season, but have to be concerned that even with the spectacular day by Johnson the team did not come close to a victory. The Texans were able to defeat the Titans by a score of 38-14 and stay undefeated.

Houston has shown in four games this season that they can win through the air, on the ground and by playing strong defense. The Texans look like a scary team and have won a second division game. If the Texans can consistently play at this level, they will be tough to beat.
